The Human Side of Business

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant
— Albert Einstein

I have spent 25 years managing events for politicians, sports stars and VIPs. Working behind the scenes in high pressure environments teaches you something quickly. The most effective leaders do not rely on strategy alone. They rely on something deeper.

We are often told to keep our personal and professional lives separate. Business is for money. Art is for expression. Spirituality is for peace. As if they exist in different spaces.

In reality, they are always overlapping.

It is all the same thing

The way you run a business is not just about a plan. It reflects how you think, what you value and how you treat people. That is not just a professional skill. It is who you are.

Art is not limited to a canvas or a stage. It shows up in how you shape an experience and how you make people feel. Every brand and every project carries a point of view. That is art, whether you call it that or not.

Spirituality is part of this too. It shows in your awareness and your response when things do not go to plan. It is in how much ego you bring into a decision, your level of patience and how you handle success or failure.

The problem with logic alone

Most of us have been high achievers for as long as we can remember. We have built our lives through logic, data and hard work. Even when we are spiritual, we often keep it separate or play it down. It can feel like the serious path is the one that produces measurable results.

I have always been spiritual, but I still leaned heavily on logic to make things work.

The issue is not logic itself. It is relying on it on its own. That can drain your energy, limit your options and take away some of the enjoyment.

Not all capital starts as money. Some of it starts as a question you cannot ignore. Some of it comes from staying open and continuing to learn until what you feel called to do becomes useful to others.

Where are you operating from

Most people are not fully aware of what is driving their decisions. They default to what has worked before.

But what got you here will not always take you further.

If you want to build something that feels both successful and meaningful, you need to see what you are actually relying on.

Not what you say you value. What you act on.

I have put together a short quiz to help you see where you are leaning right now and what might be missing.
